{"id":13372,"date":"2024-10-23T09:07:17","date_gmt":"2024-10-23T09:07:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lever.gr\/protaseis-e-mobility-ton-stolo-aerolimena-athinon\/"},"modified":"2025-06-23T21:59:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T21:59:13","slug":"protaseis-e-mobility-ton-stolo-aerolimena-athinon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lever.gr\/en\/protaseis-e-mobility-ton-stolo-aerolimena-athinon\/","title":{"rendered":"E-mobility Planning for the Fleet of Athens International Airport"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"13372\" class=\"elementor elementor-13372 elementor-10102\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ea7c639 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"ea7c639\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-4d146123\" data-id=\"4d146123\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e4574ac elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4e4574ac\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athens International Airport (AIA) is one of approximately 200 airports that committed, during the 29th General Assembly of the International Airports Council of Europe (ACI Europe) in June 2019, to achieving net-zero carbon emissions from their operations by 2050 at the latest.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AIA \u201cEleftherios Venizelos\u201d has already made significant progress toward this goal, with related actions beginning as early as 2009 (Airport Carbon Accreditation program), which among other initiatives includes the establishment of the largest photovoltaic park in Greece. {1}<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, recognizing the need for more immediate actions, AIA adopted a more ambitious initiative to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025 (Route 2025 Initiative {2}), which was further supported by its participation in the European Horizon 2020 project STARGATE.<\/span><\/p><div style=\"width: 800px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-13372-1\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" loop preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lever.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/VIDEO-AIA.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lever.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/VIDEO-AIA.mp4\">https:\/\/www.lever.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/VIDEO-AIA.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company \u201cLever \u2013 Development Consultants S.A.\u201d, a member of the Samaras &amp; Partners Group, had the opportunity to actively participate in this important effort by supporting AIA \u201cEleftherios Venizelos\u201d in promoting environmentally friendly transportation.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Specifically, Lever supported the airport by preparing the following:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A study on the renewal of the airport\u2019s ground vehicle fleet with fully electric vehicles or vehicles using sustainable fuels.
