Cities are at the forefront of these impacts, as although they occupy only 4% of the EU&#8217;s land area, they consume more than 65% of global energy and are responsible for over 70% of global CO\u2082 emissions.<\/p><p>Through the European Green Deal, the European Union has set the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (climate neutrality) for all European cities by 2050. In this context, the Municipality of Pella, recognizing the significant role local governments can play in mitigating climate change, has taken the initiative to accelerate its path toward climate neutrality.
