“Lever-Development Consultants SA” at a conference on Internal Audit in Larissa.

The conference organized by the Regional Union of Municipalities (PED) of Thessaly in collaboration with the company “Lever-Development Consultants SA”, a member of the “Samaras & Associates” Group of Companies, on the topic “Internal Audit as a Tool for Modern Local Government Administration” was held with great success and with the participation of dozens of executives from Municipalities of the Region of Thessaly, in the hall of the DEYA of Larissa.

The conference began with the greeting of the President of the PED of Thessaly and Mayor of Kileler, Mr. Athanasios Nasiakopoulos, and continued with presentations by the Deputy Mayor of Technical Works of the Municipality of Larissa, Mr. Georgios Soultis and by administrative executives of the Public Administration on the best practices for developing an internal control system, the experiences and good practices from First-Degree Local Authorities, the requirements of the Court of Auditors, as they stem from the institutional framework, as well as modern models of Corporate Governance. From the company “Lever-Development Consultants SA”, the Director of the Risk Assessment & Internal Audit Department, Mr. George Telechas, spoke, the title of whose presentation was “Internal Audit as a Modern Public Administration Tool”.
