received the Silver Award at the “Tourism Awards 2023.”

At a glittering ceremony, attended by many prominent figures and leading executives of Greek Tourism, the Silver Award was presented to the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for the campaign AGORA ATHENS “Enjoy the Athenian Way”, developed and executed in the summer and autumn of 2023 by Lever – Development Consultants S.A. of the Samaras & Partners Group.

The Chief Marketing Officer of Lever – Development Consultants S.A., Vasilis Blesios, stated:

“The campaign continues the Master Plan we developed for AGORA ATHENS, supports and promotes the largest open mall in Greece, the Plaka-Monastiraki Tourist Market ‘AGORA ATHENS’ of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was implemented by Lever in collaboration with CK Strategies. It targets dynamic groups such as millennials and Gen Z, both Greek and foreign tourists, with particular emphasis on millennials, following the ‘localhood’ trend — that is, tourists’ modern preference to experience the destination not as visitors but as locals. The campaign ran on digital and social media, and the produced video was praised for its fresh, authentic, and commercial combination, as the protagonist guides us through the shopping streets of Agora Athens (Plaka – Monastiraki) behaving like a Greek local, but with a twist at the end where everyone realizes she is a foreign tourist!”
